Facing criminal charges and navigating the legal system on your own can be scary.  Although courts and juries are in place to protect your rights, without someone on your side to help you, your rights and freedom may be at risk.   I understand the stress that comes with being charged with a criminal offense. As an associate of Richard I am able to provide each case and each client the time and attention they deserve.  Not only do you benefit from my time and experience serving as a Deputy District Attorney, you benefit from Richard's wealth of experience as both a Chief Deputy District Attorney and a criminal defense attorney.

In order for you to get to know me a bit better, let me tell you about myself.  I grew up here, in Colorado, and graduated from Chaparral High School.  I then attended college at the University of Colorado where I received my BA in philosophy.  After graduating from CU, I entered law school at the University of Denver.  During my second year of law school, I started working as an intern in the appellate division of the 18th Judicial District Attorney's office (Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties).  As an appellate intern, I wrote appellate briefs to all levels of Colorado State Courts including the Colorado Supreme Court, and was able to build a deep understanding of the issues that often present themselves in criminal law.  After I graduated from law school, I was hired as a Deputy District Attorney, where I served in Littleton, Aurora, and Centennial.

As a former appellate intern and Deputy District Attorney, I come to the firm as an associate with years of experience working in criminal law.  I have handled nearly a thousand misdemeanor cases, several hundred driving under the influence cases and thousands of minor traffic cases.  I have spent countless hours in the courtroom working to resolve all types of cases and will bring that expertise to you on every single case I handle.  If your case ends up going to trial, I will bring that same expertise and passion to trial to represent you.  I am passionate about the cases I handle and the clients I represent.  My goal is to ensure that you are treated fairly and receive a just result every time.
